Only after the water source is corrected. That's usually grading, gutters, or a drainage issue outside. We fix the cause first; finishing over active moisture always fails.
Do I need an egress window for a basement bedroom?
Yes. Code requires a compliant egress opening for any below-grade sleeping room. We cut and install them, including the window well.
What flooring works in a basement?
Luxury vinyl plank, tile, or engineered product rated for below grade. Solid hardwood and standard carpet pad are poor choices down there.
