Deck Building in Nashville, TN
Built for Tennessee weather, not just for the photo.
Deck failures almost never start at the decking boards. They start at the ledger connection to the house, at undersized footings, or at fasteners that weren't rated for treated lumber.

We build from the ground up correctly: footings below frost depth, flashed ledger, proper joist hangers, and hardware rated for the material.
Then we finish it so it looks intentional — clean fascia, hidden fasteners where you want them, and railings that feel solid.

Deck Building questions we get asked
What does a deck cost to build?
Material choice drives it more than size. Composite typically runs roughly double pressure-treated in material cost but eliminates staining forever. We price both so you can compare.
Do I need a permit for a deck in Nashville?
Generally yes for attached decks and anything above a set height. We pull it and schedule the inspections.
How long will a deck last?
A well-built pressure-treated deck lasts 15 to 20 years with regular sealing. Composite decking commonly carries 25-year-plus warranties, though the framing beneath it is still wood.
Can you build over a concrete patio?
Yes, with a properly detailed sleeper system and drainage. Sometimes it's better to remove the slab — we'll assess it on site.
